Birding
Seattle Audubon offers many exciting field trips to Northwest hotspots each month, all led by volunteer expert birders. Beginners are welcome!
Thanks for making Birdathon 2008 a flying success! With your energy, enthusiasm, and passion for birds and nature you helped us surpass our fundraising goal of $40,000 to support Seattle Audubon’s education, advocacy, and recreation programs.
Going birding? Be prepared. If you're meeting a group, go a few minutes early. Wear seasonally appropriate - and quiet - clothing and footwear. Always take enough food and water for the length of the trip. Plan to carpool and be prepared to share the cost of gasoline and ferry fares, if necessary. Be considerate of others, and stay with the group; forging ahead may scare away the birds and make it impossible for others to see. Lock your car. Hide your valuables. Respect private property. Use common sense.
The Etiquette and Ethics of Birding We support the American Birding Association's Code of Birding Ethics.
