Frequently Asked Questions for In-Person Classes
Where will my class be held? Classes are held at venues throughout the Seattle area. Be sure to read through the class description either on the Seattle Audubon website or on the registration portal to see where your class will be held.
How does member pricing work? If you are a current Seattle Audubon member, you receive 20% off each class registration. Select the Seattle Audubon Member ticket option to receive your discount. Unsure if your Seattle Audubon membership is current? Email the Member Service Associate or call 206-523-8243 x106.
What is the refund policy if I need to withdraw from a class? Full refunds will be given if you cancel at least two weeks prior to the start of class. No refund will be given if you cancel with less than two weeks’ notice.
Can a class fee be prorated if I only want to attend a portion of it? No. Each class is offered as a package unless there are distinct options to choose from.
Can I purchase a class as a gift for someone else? Yes! Classes make great gifts. Simply enter the recipient’s name, rather than your own, in the registration portal.
What is expected of class participants? All class participants are expected to behave in accordance to the Seattle Audubon Code of Conduct.
Is the class fee tax deductible? No. Class fees pay for a service (the class) and are not a donation to Seattle Audubon. This means that no part of any class registration fee is tax deductible.
Where can I get additional information? If you need additional information, or have class topic suggestions, or are willing to teach a class, please contact the Education Manager or call (206) 523-8243 ext. 107.
Seattle Audubon Class Venues
The Center for Urban Horticulture
3501 NE 41st St., Seattle, 98195. The center is on your right when you enter the main driveway, and there is plenty of free parking available in the lot. NHS Hall and Isaacson Hall are in the first complex of buildings. Douglas Classroom adjacent to the greenhouse.
The 2100 Building
2100 24th Ave S, Seattle, 98144. On-street parking is available in the surrounding area, and in a street-level garage accessed through the alley. There is also parking in the fenced area across the street from the building next to the pharmacy.
Phinney Neighborhood Center
6532 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, 98103. The parking lot entrance is on N 67th St, and there is plenty of on-street parking.
Lakeside School
14050 1st Ave. N.E., Seattle, WA 98125. Classes are held in the Allen-Gates Hall. From 1st Ave NE, the Upper School campus will be on your left; enter via the second driveway. Turn into the main driveway from 1st Avenue NE, and then take an immediate right followed by an immediate left. Parking is located in front of Allen-Gates Hall.
Ryther Center
2400 NE 95th St, Seattle, WA 98115. Classes will be held in one of several conference rooms near the parking lot. There is a large parking lot with plenty of free parking.
Senior Center of West Seattle
4217 SW Oregon St, Seattle, WA 98116There is a large parking lot with free parking for up to three hours. In the rare event the lot is full, there is free 2-hour street parking nearby.
Wedgwood Presbyterian Church
8008 35th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115. Classes are generally held in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level; enter from 80th Ave NE. There is large parking lot behind the church and the entrance is on 80th Ave NE.
Wallingford Community Senior Center/Good Shepherd Center
4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Suite 140, Seattle, WA 98103. In the lower level on the north side of the Good Shepherd Center; classes are held in the multi-purpose room. There is a free parking lot (entrance is on Sunnyside Ave) and free on-street parking.
